He started his career at Sporting CP, where he played from 1996 to 2003. Ronaldo then signed with Manchester United, where he spent six years before moving to Real Madrid in 2009.
As of November 2017, he has scored 450 goals for club and country, making him both the most prolific goalscorer for his club and country in all competitions as well as one of the greatest players of all time.

Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Funchal, Madeira, on 5 February 1985, to Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, a cook, and José Dinis Aveiro, a municipal gardener. His second given name “Ronaldo” was chosen after then-Uruguayan striker Ronaldo Nazário. He has one older brother named Hugo
who is two years older than him and one sister named Elma who is four years older than him. He grew up in an impoverished rural area and the children were required to tend to their own basic needs with no luxuries afforded to them

Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal on the 5th of February 1985. His full name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro. Cristiano is a Portuguese footballer and has been playing for the national team of Portugal since 2003.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s first club was Sporting CP and he played for them from 1997 to 2003. He then moved to Manchester United in England, where he played for six years from 2003-2009. In 2009, he signed with Real Madrid in Spain and has been there ever since.
In 2008, Cristiano Ronaldo won his first UEFA Champions League title with Manchester United and became the highest goal scorer in Premier League history. In 2013-2014 season, he became the winner of FIFA Ballon d’Or award for the second time
